Cecil A. Dolecheck (born May 30, 1951) is the Iowa State Representative from the 24th District. A Republican, he has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 1997. Dolecheck was born, raised, and resides in Mount Ayr, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University. , Dolecheck serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Appropriations, Education, Local Government, and Natural Resources committees. He also serves as the chair of the Education Appropriations Subcommittee. His political experience includes serving as Assistant Majority Leader of the Iowa House and as a Ringgold County Voting Delegate with Farm Bureau. ==Biography== Dolecheck was first elected to the House in 1996. Dolecheck was born on May 30, 1951, in Mount Ayr. His father, Ivan, and mother, Leola, farmed in Ringold County near Mount Ayr. He graduated from the Mt. Ayr Community School District in 1969. He attended Iowa State University for two years and returned to the farm. Dolecheck's first wife, Becky, died in 2001. Dolecheck and his second wife Patti were married December 8, 2005, in Mt. Ayr, and have five children and 12 grandchildren. Dolecheck attends the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. Dolecheck is active in the Farm Bureau and Lions Club. He is past President of both the County Farm Bureau and County Pork Producers. He is a former director and past president of the Farmers Cooperative Company of Afton, Arispe, Creston, Osceola, Mount Ayr, and Macksburg, Iowa.
